VANCOUVER WINTER OLYMPIC 2010

Be Prepared
Over the past five
years, Canada's dream to host the 2010 Olympic and Paralympics Winter Games
has been fuelled by the support and spirit of thousands of people, from every corner of the
country and the world.

On July 2, 2003,
this spirit culminated in one of the most exciting moments in our country's history - when
Vancouver-Whistler was selected by the IOC to host the XXI Winter Games. Since then, the
Olympic bid committee has received countless messages of celebration, and questions about
how more people can get involved over the next seven years. It's been an incredibly
inspiring taste of how Canadians will welcome the world in 2010!
The Vancouver 2010 Bid
Corporation is very proud to have more than 130,000 registered supporters. More than
50,000 of these supporters have also expressed an interest in volunteering at the
Vancouver 2010 Winter Games! The Vancouver 2010 OCOG, which will be formed by the end of
2003, will be in touch with everyone to provide more detailed information about the
volunteer application process.
