Stanley Park Open 2010
Philip Bester, above photo, with his dad.  Philip beat defending champion Henry Choi (Photo 1), 6-4, 6-4 In the Men's Open final,  Sunday, July 25.  Next up for Philip is the main draw of Vancouver Open in West Vancouver, first week of August.

Photo 2: In the Women's Open, Khristina Blajkevitch did it again this year.  She overcame Monica Neveklovska in the final, 6-2, 6-4.   Monica just returned home from the U.S. where she graduated in psychology.

Photo 3: The Men's Open Doubles, from left to right, Jerry Turek, Paul Reber, Patrick Flint, and Nick Coutts.  Third time lucky!  Nick and Patrick finally won the doubles title by beating the last years' winners, Jerry and Paul, 6-3, 0-6, 6-4, in the final.

Photo 4: The Women's Open Doubles, from left to right, Kelly Mcnabney, Monica Neveklovska, Michelle Flemons and Susie Fought.  Kelly and Monica  defeated Michelle and Susie, 6-4, 7-6 in the finals.

Photo 5: Joel Dembe, left, and Anthony Anderson.  Anderson beat Joel, 6-1, 6-4, to win ITF Wheelchair Men's Singles.  Defending champion, Kai Schrameyer played only doubles this year, where he and his partner, Laurie Zalmanowitz lost to Anthony and Corey Blatchford in the semis.  Anthony and Corey later outlasted Joel and Philippe Bedard in the final, 3-6, 6-3, 6-3, to capture the doubles title.

Photo 6:  Nicoleta Ratiu and Max Brown.  The pair bested Monica Neveklovska and Jeremy Salvo, 7-5, 6-4, to win the Mixed Open Doubles.

Photo 7: No rain for the entire two weeks of tournament!  After a soggy start to summer with a grey and rainy June, Kelly Mcnabney is enjoying the sun at the park.

Photo 8: The Chu brothers, Daniel, left, and David. They lost to Jerry Turek and Paul Reber, 7-6, 6-7, 6-1, in the doubles semis.   Daniel lost to Henry Choi, 7-5, 6-3 in the singles semis.

Photo 9: George Jecminek, who lost to Philip Bester in semis of the Men's Open Singles, 6-3, 6-3.

Photo 10 The Junior event attracted 330 players this year. Twelve-year-old Sam Gouneili is receiving the Boys' 14 Singles title from Lois Ker.  Click here for the Juniors' complete results.
