Philip Bester, above photo, beat defending champion George Jecminek (Photo 1), 6-4,
2-6, 6-1 In the Men's Open final, Sunday, July 28. Next up for Philip
is the main draw of Vancouver Open in West Vancouver, July 29.

7-6, 6-4. This is Katerina third year to win the Open.

Trudie just returned home from the U.S. where she graduated
from University of Oregon. Trudie and her partner, Tracy Dong
topped Khristina Blajkevitch and
Nicoleta Ratiu, 7-6, 6-1 , for the Women's Open Doubles
crown. And for Riaan, he lost in the 3rd round of the open
singles to Rafael Davidian, 7-5, 2-6, 6-4.

the final of Canadian U18 ITF Doubles. Alexander of West vancouver lost in
the ITF Boys' Singles final to
Harrison Scott of Ontario, 6-2-6-0. Alexander later played the Stanley Park Open. He eliminated Nick
Coutts (seed 5), 6-3, 7-6, and Graeme Kassautzki (seed 4), 6-3, 6-7, 6-4
to reach the semis, where he lost to George Jecminek, 6-4, 6-4. For
