Hollyburn Junior Classic - 2012
Rob Fought, tournament director, welcomes players at Hollyburn Country Club,
May 17-21. This is Rob's eighth year in running the tournament.

crown.

Max beat Jack Davis,
6-2, 6-2 to win the Boys' 14. Patrick lost to John Chan in the
Boys' 18 Plate, 6-2, 5-7, 6-2, and Kyryll lost to
Daniel Raw
in the Boys' 16 final, 2-6, 6-1, 6-2. Photo 3: Stacey Fung,
left, and Benjamin Sigouin. Top seed Stacey fell to Arisha Ladhani in the
Girls' 16 semis, 6-4, 2-6, 6-3, but went on to beat Stephanie Day in the
plate, 6-0, 6-0. Twelve-year-old Benjamin, seeded 5, lost to Gary Ho
in the Boys' 16 quarters, 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 Ret.

his dad, Ron. Hard-serving John from Kamlops, at 6' 1", was the tallest player in
the U14 category. He lost to Manroop Gill in the Boys' 14 Plate,
6-0, 6-1.

Gary beat three seeded players, Tejas Phaterpekar (4), Benjamin Sigouin
(5), and Felix Fan (3) to win third place in the Boys' 16.

overcame Michelle in a close match to win the Girls' 12 title.
Coquitlam Junior Spring Challenger
Rain washed out all play at the Challenger event in Coquitlam on
Sunday and Monday. All consolation matches were cancelled and some
matches moved Indoor to Langley Tennis World. The rest of the matches
were postponed to the following Friday, May 25 and Saturday May 26. The Girls' 16
and 18 events were combined.
