Snow-tennis anyone?
It is January 11, 2009 and snow is everywhere. You can't be
serious! A group of seniors are playing tennis in
the snow!
Keith Bower (above), Ian Dirom, Ian McDonald (left

and Peter Lazenby were playing a doubles match.
They belong to an active group of North Shore seniors who play outside
four mornings a week, year-round, on West Vancouver public courts.
Light snow or wet courts never stop these all-weather tennis players. Their group owns large snow shovels and massive
squeegees for the purpose.
The group has been together for 25 years. They play only doubles and
always in groups of eight.
