Stanley Park Open - 2007
Stefi Gjine of North Vancouver, above left, and Daniel Chu of Vancouver won the Stanley Park Open titles at The Arbutus Club on July 22.

Stefi, the top seed, beat Kari Wig of Calgary, 6-1, 3-6, 6-2 and Daniel beat Vasek Pospisil of Vernon, 4-6, 6-0, 6-2 to defend his title. Sixteen-year-old Vasek, who won last week's ITF event, is one of Canada's brightest up-and-coming prospects.

Photo 2: Second-seeded Graeme Kassautzki, winner of 2005 event, was upset in two sets, 6-1, 6-0, by Vasek Pospisil in semifinal action at the Van Lawn Tennis Club.  Graeme teamed up with Patrick Flint of Victoria to beat Justin Kates and Vasek Pospisil, 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 and claim the Men's Open Doubles title.

Photo 3: Top seed Henry Choi lost in the semifinal to Daniel Chu.  Henry recently moved from Toronto to Vancouver to join the pro team at Van Lawn Tennis Club .

Top seed Amanda Augustus and Kris Santoso beat Sinziana Chis and Jeremy Salvo, 7-6, 6-4, to win the Mix Doubles title.
